Five on the Fifth

Steven Chapman says:

"Take 5 photographs on the days leading up to the 5th and publish those on your own blog and then add the link to my blog,  State of the Nation UK so that others can see your images.

This month's 5 of 5 pictures were all taken by my daughter and me.  We had a fantastic, memorable day hiking in a spectacular wilderness setting, frolicking in the surf and picnicking.   Can anyone guess where these pictures were taken?  Here are a few hints... the location is:
  • in Canada
  • on an ocean
  • National Geographic Traveller  placed it on their "Top 10 Drives of a Lifetime" list.
  • The Lonely Planet described it as "one of the world's most spectacular trips ."

Rinsing off in a beautiful waterfall.

We bodysurfed in the waves:  exciting!

  3. Spectacular! Particularly like the waterfall one. Makes it even more interesting when there's someone under it. Thanks.

  4. I've been reading your blog for awhile now, and had no idea you were blond! I just went back and saw some of your earliest posts in which you are a blond boy and teen, so I guess somehow missed that.

Oh, besides noticing you are blond, I noticed that you are a HOT blond. Is there such a thing as a BILF?

  6. Thanks for commenting, everyone!

Explorer Jack: my family background is 100% Scandinavian so I started out a red-head, spent my childhood and teens as a white-blonde. My hair colour has now darkened to what you see in the pics with a little gray just starting to blend in beautifully.

Thank you for the BILF comment! Made my day!

Raybeard: the waterfall was my favourite.... very special. Under the falls was this little grotto / swimming pool, sort of like you see in beer commercials. Too cool!

Deep Blue: Sorry, it's not British Columbia ... the pics were taken many thousands of miles from home.

  10. How about Nova Scotia? I knew it wasn't BC, because none of the photos had any ferns or tall firs in them.

The picture of you (#3) looks as good as the scenery. I just found your blog so I don't know whether you have posted more of yourself, but you should.

  11. I'm with Pat and say Cape Breton in NS. The Cabot Trail to be exact, and the beach was Cabot Beach? And I just realized looking at the pictures, it's in the name of the photos. Yes, Pat and I nailed it!

    Hope the water was warm!!

  13. Pat: Ka-ching!! Yes, we were on Cape Breton Island in northern Nova Scotia! ... we drove along the Cabot Trail in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Are you Canadian?

Gosh, there are dozens of pictures of me on the blog, the majority of them in my underwear. Here are a few of my favourites: wearing a jockstrap in the shower, in the bathtuband without pants.

  14. Hey Sexy Beast! You're a smart one! The waterfall is at Black Brook Beach near where my M-I-L lives, between Ingonish and Neil's Harbour. The ocean was surprisingly warm for September.... far warmer than the water where I live.

  15. Great pics this month, Buddy! I liked the waterfall, but I especially liked the last pic.

  16. Oh drat... I was too late. I was going to guess Nova Scotia because it was on the coast and you live on the otherside of Canada.

Glad you have had a nice time here on the East coast.
