Spring Break (up)

This is what I wore to school today.
All of the pics were taken today in my front yard.   The title doesn't refer to Spring Break on a Florida beach full of drunk, hottie frat boys.   It refers to the literal spring breakup ... of ice.

1.  Fierce winds have broken up the ice in front of my house.   It's exciting to have this first sign of spring although it's still freezing out.   But it's also sad because we have so much fun every day on the ice .... skating (early in the winter, when there was no snow), cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and walking our dogs off-leash out to the off-shore islands.

2.  In the springtime, a young man's thoughts turn to .... sex.   Most unusally, I've been messaged for sex this week by five horny young men, aged 19 to 25.  I would have been happy to oblige but the messages came at times which didn't work for me:  midnight, 4:00 am and in the middle of my working day.  Darn!

But I'll have to wait patiently for them to message me again.  In my experience, young men need to be the ones doing the pursuing.  But in general, it's a hassle getting a young man into my bed.  Occasionally, I decide that I will only hook up with men closer to my own age.  Then another young man messages me and my resolve goes out the window.  It happens every time.

3.  Tonight, I'm leading an overnight camping trip with 30 grade eleven students from my school with two other teacher-chaperones.  We've done this trip every year for the past twelve years with very few incidents.  Usually, a fun time is had by all!

Our fondest memory is of a 2:00 am cabin check where we found a group of students near the end of a game of strip poker.  LOL!  Too funny!!   To see students in that state of undress is a situation no teacher should ever find himself in.

But the worst part was that, sadly, the students involved were mainly fat and unattractive.  Ewww!!!! It was like being stabbed in the eye.

4.   Next week, I will be in Toronto from Wednesday evening, May 1st to Sunday evening, May 5th.   Apart from a follow-up prostate checkup at the Princess Margaret Cancer Hospital, I hope to meet up with some friends, new and old, and in general have a Big Fat Gay Weekend!   But I haven't fully decided what I want to do.

  2. Well, at least you didn't walk in on those students in the middle of a circle-jerk! LOL!
Have fun - on the camping trip and in Toronto!

  3. I've caught scouts in some pretty compromising positions. My reaction counts for everything. Anyway, have fun camping!

Spring seems to be here as evidenced by the tree pollen on everything. Now you can go canoeing, other boating, swimming (yeah, right), and who knows what else. Lakes are year-round fun spots.

    Peace <3

    1. Jay.... "pretty compromising position?" You're teasing us! Any chance of us hearing all the salacious details?

    2. Nah, they were all underage, and sharing would be akin to kiddie porn, but let's leave it at me having to figure out if it was youthful fun and experimentation or some form of coercion. They forget that nylon tent walls are not like drywall bedroom walls - tents are NOT soundproof! Nightly bed checks tended to be rather interesting if you listened a bit (and walked softly so not to disturb the little darlings in their revelry).

  5. Dear Buddy bear,

I just wanted to say that I've been following your blog for a whike and must say that you are definiteky a role model for closeted guys like me.

I just wanna point out something that I found to be quite troubling in your recent post.I noticed that you used the word 'ewww' and disgusting to describe some of your fat students.I also noticed the same when you blog about guys that are older than you.First of all its totally up to you if you find these older guys and fat guys unattractive.Your entitled to to be attracted to anyone or vice versa. However I hope you would not use the those derogative words to describe them as it can be seen as rude and offensive. You being a father and a teacher clearly understand the effects of those words on people.I'm not critisizing you,im just pointing out the stuff you wrote that even though maybe unintentional might hurt.words carry a lot of weight.I hope I didnt offend you by saying this.

    1. Thanks for pointing that out! I apologise if I was offensive. It is true that I find obsese people unattractive. I've reached a point in my gay journey where I just can't or won't hook up with someone who I don't find attractive, which is a highly personal thing.

But many of the guys that I've been with have been a bit chubby and I've found them extremely attractive.

I have no problem with a guy maybe up to five years older then me, but I've done the "older" thing with my ex-wife and I ain't doing that again! I know older guys can be very fit and hot but I haven't met many to whom I've been attracted. I don't a small pot belly (I have one myself) but not a huge one!!

I would never say that someone is fat and unattractive to their face or even discuss it out loud in my personal life. But I write very honestly and bluntly on my blog, and maybe even a hurtful manner. I apologize again... I'll be more thoughtful in the future.

    2. Glad to hear that Buddy..again I didnt point that out so that you would feel bad of yourself..its just sometimes we say things unintentional that may hurt someone's feelings..and i also applaud you for being honest and blunt in this blog and thats why we love reading you posts. there is nothing wrong if you feel they are not attractive..everyone is entitled to be attracted to whomever they are into...i just hope you would not use those words to describe them..and btw I know this kinda makes me sound like I'm a old big sized guy but no..i think i'm one of your younger demographics and im no male model but fit..it just i have been bullied in my schooling days and im really against verbal stuff...and Buddy something totally unrelated..are you gonna do a pic a day for this may month?because i enjoyed what you did last year..hot pics

  6. Nice shoes by the way. Like the trend of bold colors these days. Better than the grey 90s.
