Perfect men

The pictures today are my idea of what a perfect man should look like:  lightly furry, masculine, broad-shouldered and a little beefy with natural muscles and a nice smile.

If only I could find one of these perfect physical specimens who is also sweet, smart, romantic, sexually-skilled , "out" and has a strong libido.  I'd also want him to be sexually compatible with me and close to my age +/- 10 years, ready for a commitment and with a good job.  Is that too much to ask?

Another important consideration:  Mr. Wonderful would have to be in love with me and me with him.  Maybe I'm naive to think this way, but I'm confident that he's out there .... but I'm not quite ready for him yet!

I've actually hooked up with numerous guys who looked like this but they were either: (1) married (2) unemployed or semi-employed, working at a minimum wage job (3) two or three decades younger than me or (4) closeted and living at home with their mothers or (5) lived in a far-away city.

Random thoughts:
  1. The new age restrictions on pof.com suck big time!  I've only had one message all week, a proposition from a slim, 37 year old crossdresser.  I was actually considering hooking up with him when his profile was deleted by the adminstrators for sexual content.

  2. I miss all the messages from all those delicious, inexperienced 22 year old men!

  3. I've been too busy with work to try other sites such as grindr.com or to set up a new pof.com account with a fake, younger age.  June is a very busy time for teachers here!

  4. After one week with all three kids here, I'm rather enjoying an evening alone.  In fact, I'll be kid-less for the rest of the week but made have arrangements for a couple of gentlemen callers to visit later this week.

  5. Big Red was actually available (and willing) tonight for some sweet sexytime, but I am having a performance appraisal at work on Wednesday and I have much to prepare.  I'm dreading it, actually.  My last one was in 1995!

  6. PRIDE WEEK NEWS I have signed on to volunteer at several different events during our city's Pride Week:  the LGBTQ film festival, Drag Queen Night and the Pride Picnic.  Very exciting!

  7. On a more distressing note, I'm having some pretty serious cash flow problems right now with my new mortgage, $1,200/month spousal support payments and all the usual bills.  I got all misty-eyed when my 19 year old daughter gave me $400 of her own earings, over my objections, to help out.

  1. Maybe you can put a note redirecting your POF 20 somethings to a different website or profile. It can be done.

Yes, these men are my idea of perfection as well as you ;)
and Ben Cohen (swim trunks) has all the tangible qualities you want as well (except the gay part :( The guy in the jeans is super hot cutie

    1. Yes, I didn't add "gay" to my wish list. What was a big oversight!

Yes, I'll have to set a way on POF for the 20-something hotties to find me again. I know they want to!

  2. You have two of the greatest kids!
I sure understand cash flow trouble - been there for the past 3+ years now, myself. Hang in there!

    1. Thanks! I have numerous other opportunities to make money apart from my regular job, so I'll just have to quit whining and go for it!

    2. Did I miss the post where you decided to become a rent boy?

    3. All joking aside, I've considered it, quite seriously. This winter, I spent quite a bit of time with a gay guy who runs a local escort service. He assured me that I would be in demand as a gay escort, even at my age.

He was in no way trying to recruit me but was just pointing out that many of his clients were seeking a mature "daddy" type.

    4. All joking aside, I know what teachers make (at least in the US). Money & sex, versus bringing forward the next generation....hhhhmmmmm...no contest...I'd go for the latter. Sex is just that. Sex. I can do that for myself if need be. Teaching? A whole other calling for which I extend you the utmost esteem and respect.

    5. There are a some jobs which I can do which would earn more money. But I have no complaints about my salary; my public sector teachers' union has ensured that we are (still) very well paid. We also have one of the best defined-benefits pension plans in the country. I'm actually quite lucky in that department.

My spousal support will end in six years and the need to assist with university tuition or to have kids living at home as dependants will end sooner than that. So as to my 'cash flow' problem, this too shall pass!

  3. Now here's a question: let's say the miracle happens and you find this guy and it turns out that you're his miracle as well -- what would be your expectation, preference, or outright requirement, as to monogamy? It's an important and highly controversial issue in gay politics.

(As I am being bold enough to ask, I will tell you about my relationship. Shortly after the husband and I realized that it would be "forever," he said that we should also be realistic -- "we're gay men: sex happens." And so it has, both singly and together in threeways. We remain deeply committed to each other through everything.)

    1. That's my view exactly. If I was in a very solid relationship with a man my age (where we lived together), I'd still want to occasionally invite another man, most likely young and hot, as a mutual plaything.

  4. the top pix, the guy on the right...OMB! one night with him is all I ask!

divorce is expensive; I discovered it was cheaper to marry the now-ex than to get rid of him. your daughter is a keeper; how thoughtful of her! smooches, dear!

  5. I hear you about being busy in June, and I'm not a teacher, just a poor schlep for the school system! C'mon August!

I also get the whole cash flow issue. I'm there, and will be for some time, since I bought out my last roommate, and because of the economy, have almost zero equity in the house. Ugh.

    Peace <3

  7. I think you'll find volunteering for Pride a lot of fun - and it's really worthwhile. I do it almost every year. Looking forward to the blog on that :)

  8. Jay: yes, I have good company then! In my case, the value of my property is skyrocketing and will continue to do so. It's just that I'm "land rich, cash poor" for day-to-day expenses and for renovations.

    Dr. Spo: Wise words indeed!

Jeffrey: thanks, I'm looking forward to it enormously! It will be nice to meet and to work with a whole different range of LGBTQ folks, not just the men I have hookups with.

  9. Meeting a lot of gay men in a social situation should be a great experience for you. It's the sort of thing that may lead to a quick encounter but is much more likely to begin friendships, which I think you'll enjoy very much.

    1. Yes, that's one of the reasons I signed up to volunteer: to work with and to get to know a wider range of LGBTQ folk of all persuasions.
