Snow Day

Here's the view from my front door this morning... about one foot of new snow.  Woot!  This means some of our favourite winter sports might last until the end of April!  (most people here won't be happy about this, however.)   It is not unusual here to get dumps of snow right to the end of April.

It's not actually a "snow day" since all schools and businesses open for business.  This amount of snow isn't a big deal for us;  our town is well equipped to handle it.

I do love looking at all the springtime pictures on other blogs:  flowering bulbs sprouting, green grass, hotties in shorts, nursery workers with hot asses (I had to get some perving in here, somehow!), trees in full bloom.... we won't see any of that until late May - early June.

  2. Fresh snow sure is beautiful, but I'm glad I'm not shoveling it.

  5. Thanks for commenting everyone! I love the snow; the longer it lasts, the better. Winter is by far my favourite season because of all the winter sports we do. But I think you need to have been born in a northern climate to truly embrace it.

Rich: I've never heard that expression, but I love the site. I couldn't imagine being brave enough to take pics of random guys in the street.... I just wouldn't dare!

  6. Buddy: I'm with you, I love the winter months...

I have moved (slowly) to cooler climates but only made it to Virginia so far (from Miami)...

Daffodils are done here, trees finally getting some green, but the pollen is atrocious ...

    Enjoy your continued groundcover...

  7. I would cry if I woke up to that today. And just to be clear, they would not be tears of joy.

  8. I hope to retire to Canada; it will seem a bit of a shock after Arizona.

  9. There are plenty of places in Canada with extremely mild winters, some with very inexpensive housing. (Windsor, Ontario) You also get seasons: beautiful springs, glorious autumns and hot summers!

I e-mailed this to you, but I'll repeat it here. As a retiree, your chances of getting accepted as an immigrant would be reduced because you would be:(1)a drain on the health care system and (2) not contributing member of society. Far better to start the immigration process now! Check out these links:
