Be careful what you ask for...

The Untamed Man

Recently, I've been in the middle of "The Perfect Storm" of many stressful events all happening at once.  All of this is taking it's toll on my spine, my health in general and my usual positive, sunny disposition.

Everything will resolve itself just fine, I'm sure.  I just need to keep pushing ahead, however frightening and uncertain it might be.  There is no turning back, that's for sure!!!

Lest you think I'm boo-hooing.... "Oh gosh, poor me!",  my wife is even more severely affected by all this.  She became sick to her stomach after each of our settlement conversations so we are taking a week or two off from any further discussions.  She is not nearly so confident about having a happy, exciting future as I am.

So... since I'm too bummered out to think of anything original,  I am ripping off this post from Erik Rubright, that sweet, sexy tattoo artist / blogger from Arkansas.

Ask me a question about EACH (or any) of the following and I will post an answer:
  1. Friends
  2. Sex
  3. Music
  4. Religion
  5. Love
  6. Blogging
The Untamed Man

Ask me anything and I will answer it.  I challenge some of the lurkers readers who have never commented to ask a question or two.  Please, I'd really love to hear from you!

  1. Who is the Kelly Stern wannabe in the last pic? (He really reminds me of Kelly). I'll think about some questions to ask you and submit them later :-)

  2. What is your favorite part of a man's body?

What do you like most about being gay?

What do you admire most about others?

What do you admire most about yourself?

    More will follow...

  3. Cubby: He's just some random guy who posted a self-pic online; yes, he does look like Kelly, doesn't he? Hot!! Love his beefy thighs!

WranglerMan: Thank you for the great questions!

What is your favorite part of a man's body?
On a naked man; his cock (God's gift to mankind) especially if it is in my mouth. I'd prefer an averaged sized one or even smaller for this. A big cock is nice to look at, especially in jeans or freeballing, flopping in athletic shorts.

On a clothed man: a beautiful torso... nice V-shape from broad shoulders, defined pecs, flattish belly.

What do you like most about being gay? The fact that my sexual partner(s) would most likely have as strong a sex drive (or even stronger) than me. It was fantastic not having to initiate everything during sex, to "be made love to" with bit of aggression.

What do you admire most about others?Loyalty in friends, being non-judgmental, kindness and thoughtfulness.

What do you admire most about yourself? I never "sweat the small stuff." I never worry for too long about things which don't matter in life. This attitude comes from nearly dying of cancer at 19; it shaped my attitude towards everything for the rest of my life.

    what are your musical tastes?

have you lost many friends since you came out? (hopefully not!)

  5. anne marie: Right now, I rarely listen to music. My workplace is pretty noisy so I need my home to be quiet. When I do feel like listening to music, it is 70s classic rock, the music of my youth. I also like the country music of 15 - 20 years ago: George Strait, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks but not what's played now.

So far, I've come out to my entire family and only a handful of friends. No, I haven't lost any friends and I don't expect to; it just won't happen. My friends and family(and even my wife's best friend and her entire family) have all been highly supportive of me.

This is partly because of my personal qualities (integrity, responsibility, compassion ...) Another reason is that I haven't abandoned my family to engage in "sleazy behaviour" in my home town.

However, I think the main reason that I haven't been shunned is that in Canada, we live in a highly tolerant, compassionate society; being gay is no big deal!

  7. Hey Kelly, thanks for the questions!

    1. What do you like about your best friend? We've been friends since birth and I think he knows me better than anyone, even my wife. (although my parents know me extremely well) We are just always "there" or "present" for each other, through the early deaths of his parents, my cancer, his divorce, my coming-out and my divorce. No judgment... just total understanding and acceptance.

    2. Best Sex and why?
Gay sex. Even though my experience is very limited, I already know that Hottie Nurse will be a very hard act to follow.

With my wife. Sex in the first year of our marriage was fantastic; we were having sex every day. We were so in love with each other and in our "honeymoon phase", all we wanted to do was please the other. I was just wallowing in it. The times that we conceived were very special as well... nothing makes a guy feel more masculine than getting his wife pregnant, four times!

    4. What is your religous stance? I was baptized, married and had my children baptized in the United Church of Canada. (BTW, this church is among the most supportive of gay clergy, performing same-sex marriages etc.) Otherwise, I never set foot in church and I don't think I believe in God. I find more hypocrites in the church-going population than in society in general.

    5. Are you looking for love now, or just taking time to enjoy being gay? I'm too hugely stressed out (outlined in last post) at this very difficult stage to even think about it. I am very much looking forward to living alone (with my kids, part-time) for a while, years if necessary. In several years, I know that Mr. Right will appear and he won't come from some gay hookup site. In the meantime, I plan to have some more discrete gay fun... maybe a trip or two to Las Vegas will get that out of my system.

    6. Who's your favorite blogger?

I have so many favourites; an impossible task to name just one! I'll list my top five in two categories:

    A. Married / closeted / gay / bi guys with kids.
-A Journey by myself ... Brent
-Out in the World .... Mike
    -Conflicting Clarity ... Jim
-New Day, New Life .... super-sexy Midwestern guy
-It Must be Around Here Somewhere... Mack

    B. Gay Guys
    -Patently Queer .... Cubby
-Idle Eyes and a Dormy .... Sean
    -Jim's Stuff .... sexy Jim
    -Spo-Reflections ... Dr. Spo
-Rambling along in Life* ... Kelly (* This was the very first gay blog I read, for many years, as a closeted, married lurker)

  8. Ok, here are my questions.

Friends - (same question I gave Erik) You are having an existential crisis and need to get something off of your chest immediately. A confession as it were. Who are you most likely to tell? A friend in person, a friend via voice/text/email/letter, an internet bud, a stranger on a chat site, or someone else? Who and why?

    Sex -
Sit on my face and tell me that you love me
I'll sit on your face and tell you I love you too
I love to hear you oralize
    When I'm between your thighs
    You blow me away

Sit on my face and let my lips embrace you
I'll sit on your face and then I'll love you truly
Life can be fine if we both sixty nine
If we sit on our faces in all sorts of places
And play till we're blown away

Music - Know any good Monty Python songs?

Religion - Would people be able to guess your religion by looking at your wee willy wing wong?

Love - What do you love most: beer, wine, or liquor?

Blogging - Who is your all-time number one favorite blogger in Dayton, Ohio?

  11. Cubby: If I need to get something off my chest immediately, I discuss it with both my parents (but with my father in particular) and also with my best friend. They all know me so well and would already know the back story. I can always count on them to understand and maybe offer sensible, experienced advice, most of the time anyway.

ONE EXCEPTION: Other than coming out to my parents, I don't discuss gay matters with them. Who discusses sex with his parents, anyway? For these conversations, I would talk to you, Cubby, and "Idle Eyes" Sean.

Sex: Was there a question in there somewhere? If asked if would do all that with you, the answer would be an unequivocal "yes!"

Music: I haven't watched M.P. in years, but "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" might be my theme song. I gathered from anne marie's comment that the "sex" lyrics were from M.P.

Religious: Sadly, I'm cut but wasn't for religous reasons.

Love: I drink mainly beer because it gives me a lot of volume for my one-drink limit (any more than one drink makes me feel sick). But I really like liquor best: vodka, rum and Canadian whiskey in that order.

Cubby, you are all my all-time favourite blogger anywhere. :-)

  12. Holy eye candy... What's the equivalent of a toothache for eye candy? I must have it from all the sweetness in those pics.

In all seriousness though, I'm sorry about all the stress in your life right now and hope you pull through A.O.K.

    Hugs,
    BosGuy
