Yesterday (Tuesday) was one of my most exhausting days ever! Here's how it went down:
- At 6:15, boarded a plane to Toronto.
- Arrived just in time for an appointment at Canada's leading cancer centre, the Princess Margaret Hospital. I've been referred there for a consultation about the removal of some wisdom teeth. This simple procedure was complicated by possible radioosteonecrosis of my jaw caused by radiation treatments for cancer. I blogged about this earlier.
- A decision was made to remove the teeth using conventional methods. By noon, left the cancer centre minus three teeth, but with a frozen mouth and a supply of Tylenol 3s with codeine.
- Spent five hours hitting my favourite Toronto spots such as Chinatown (hot & sour soup!), Queen Street West (the coolest consignment shops), Church Street gay village (amongst my peeps!), the newly-renovated Toronto Reference Library (spectacular!) and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
- My favourite male strip club, Remington's, opened its doors at 5:00 pm. I finally relaxed, drank a couple of draft beer (mixed with pain meds.... naughty!!) and looked at the hairless boys (meh!) and sexy men (woof! made my cock hard!) peeling out of their sexy undies and wiggling their cocks around. What a pleasant way to spend several hours! I'll report on this in a future post.
- At 8:30 pm, back on the plane, arriving home at 11:30 pm.
- At 12:00 pm, back at my waterfront home where my special guy was waiting for me. Our... er... reunion begins.
- From 2:00 - 7:00 am (today), we slept naked, cuddled together in the cozy three quarter bed, me spooning him, him spooning, me or facing each other with limbs entwined. Total bliss!
- At 7:00 an, wake up to face a busy day at work. Whew!
Radioosteonecrosis sounds unfun!!! It's hard to believe all the bad stuff you went through when you were younger. You've come through it so well. It's inspiring.
ReplyDeleteDid I misread something? You had 3 wisdom teeth pulled then went right out and ate hot and sour soup? Masochist much? On the plus side, after you heal you'll be able to stuff more meat in your mouth ;-)
But do exercise caution. Until your gums heal, you probably should refrain from certain activities. :-(
ReplyDeleteCubby: despite the mega-doses of radiation I'd received nearly 30 years ago, my teeth and gums looked in good condition, so no extraordinary measures were needed. I was very lucky!
ReplyDeleteAs to the soup; well, I hadn't eaten since supper the previous day so I was starving. My mouth was still frozen AND I'd taken two Tylenol with codeine. I was told that I could eat soup and other soft food as long it was room temperature, but no food which required chewing. I had a fantastic Thai coconut soup later in the day.
Will J: Thank you! Yes, we were well aware of that! How does "hand job + prostate massage" sound?
Sounds just what the doctor ordered!
DeleteAn excellent tutorial! May I sign up for the next session please?
DeleteHot and sour soup is the best. It is how I judge how good a Chinese restaurant is! For Mexican, it is the guacamole and Margaritas. Glad everything turned out well. Sounds like the best part was the 2-7 slot. Remington's really couldn't compare.
ReplyDeleteI might add that the midnight to 2:00 am time slot was EXTREMELY special, but I didn't blog about the details. Agree about the hot and sour soup; don't know about Mexican restaurants. We don't have one in our town.
DeleteI think that when faced by something that could not be pleasant at all, you certainly know how to pack a lot of great stuff into 24 hours.
ReplyDeleteWill, living in a "nothing happening", remote hick town as I do, I try very hard to make to most of it when I am in a big city. I plan carefully and plan as many activities as possible.

ReplyDeleteI had all four taken when I was about 35 and had a great reaction to the procedure - very little swelling or pain but was still out of commission for 2-3 days. Forget about all the activities you did, I'm amazed that you were able/allowed to get on a plane so soon. I hope the healing continues to go so well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your concern! Two days later, I am still completely pain free. Some wisdom teeth come out much easier than others. Also, the doc at the Princess Margaret really knew what he was doing!
DeleteCuddling makes the world go away . . . love it! I think of the line from A Christmas Story, "all is right with the world."
ReplyDeleteHad some trouble leaving a comment - so let's try this again... sorry we couldn't give you better weather. On behalf of Toronto, I apologize. I'm not really a fan of Remington's. I don't like the constant hustle of the guys trying to get you in the back. Other than the teeth pulling thing, sounds like you had a good day here in Toronto :)
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the stripper boys coming around to sell their wares... it's an opportunity to get touchy-feely with them. I tell them straight away that I'm not interested in a lap dance. Some of them say 'thank you' and walk away and some stay to chat which is always very nice.
DeleteIs there another male stripper place in Toronto which you would recommend?
You party animal!
